Meet The Face Behind HEROIC MEDIA STUDIO

I’m Matthew Hofman, the proud owner of HEROIC MEDIA STUDIO.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

While growing up in Colorado, I would constantly write songs, and I dreamed of being a musician and songwriter. Like many aspiring artists, I had very little money and resources, which forced me to learn how to record my own music and create content to market my projects. 

Many of my early videos were recorded on a Sony Vloggie, as even cell phone cameras weren’t of high enough quality at the time. While I didn’t have a lot of high quality production equipment at the time, I had creativity, vision, and drive. It was out of necessity that I developed many of the quintessential production and editing skills that I now use on a daily basis here at Heroic Media Studio. 

Going All In!

I followed my love for music to Belmont University where I earned a Music Business Administration (BBA) degree with an emphasis in Audio Production. Years later, I moved back to my home, Colorado. While struggling to find fulfilling job opportunities that utilized my creative musical abilities, a friend recommended I purchase a legitimate camera and further develop my video skills. This piece of advice inspired me to combine all my skillsets I’d developed over the past two decades and start a video production company.

Since officially launching HEROIC MEDIA STUDIO in 2020, HMS has worked with a variety of companies including Black Rifle Coffee Company, HGTV, ITV America, The Robert Irvine Foundation, and more. These experiences have enhanced my vision for combining compelling storytelling, effective communication, and high-quality visuals. I’m proud that my company is able to bring our services to Northeastern Colorado. It’s enabled me to empower small businesses, creators, and organizations needing content for special events. 

Value Add

I believe in artistic value and its potential to produce Return On Investment (ROI) for businesses. At the same time, I believe in doing what is right and aim to provide reasonable prices, as I believe every voice deserves to be heard.

Positive Attitude

I attribute my success to my work ethic and positive attitude. I constantly question how to become the best version of myself personally and professionally.

The most satisfying moment in business was when I realized that I could truly make a living doing creative work. My work also overlaps with activities that I could previously only pursue in my free time, which is a blessing. 

When I’m not behind a camera, I constantly watch tech/production videos and try to increase my knowledge. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and our two fur babies, Indi and Milo. In addition, I like lifting weights, playing volleyball, participating in community theater, and writing/recording music.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
